Carleton vs Coca-Cola vs cinema

The Coca Cola Case, a controversial documentary alleging Coke’s involvement in the deaths of Columbian union leaders, has re-sparked interest amongst Carleton student associations seeking a boycott of Coca-Cola’s exclusivity contract with Carleton, which makes them the only pop distributor on campus.

Getting cozy with Spins and Needles

This February, Ottawa’s urban landscape will be yarn-bombed by a locally based craft and music troupe, Spins and Needles, as part of citywide Winterlude festivities.

The tight-knit couple marry their arts into a unique experience hosted monthly in Canada and abroad, binding together not just their knacks but people as well.

One member commented that the name reminds him of a cartoon of robots with box hands, while another said, “I like the irony of a band with boxes for hands and how useless that would be.”
