Carleton has recently joined the ranks of other Canadian universities in its adoption of the Project Hero scholarship, which provides financial assistance to children of Canadian Forces personnel killed while serving in an active mission.
Carleton will pay tuition fees for up to eight academic terms, as well as covering on-campus residence fees for the first two academic terms.
"Joining Project Hero is a fitting way to honour the memory of the brave Canadian men and women who have lost their lives in combat and to support their children," said Carleton president Roseann Runte.
