Residence students got a chance to watch their peers strutting their stuff Nov. 18 in the Raven’s Roost. Sole organizer of “Carleton’s Got Talent,” Stephanie Brooks decided it was time to “give those talented CU students a chance to show what they are hiding,” and help the Ottawa Food Bank in the process.

The talent was aplenty, but some people stood out in a big way. Fan favourites Spencer Humes and Emma O’Malley had the crowd feeling nostalgic with a love-song medley, but the star had to be second-year Zoe Chisolm. Singing since first grade, Chisolm’s witty song about the joys of nose-picking was only upstaged by her love ballad “Obsession,” which both concluded and stole the showcase.
