Members of the Carleton community gathered just before 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the flag pole outside Azrieli Theatre for the university’s annual Remembrance Day ceremony.

Carleton president Roseann Runte attended the ceremony with students, staff, faculty, and community members.

One attendee at the event, Rowan Smith, said Remembrance Day is about remembering those who have made sacrifices for Canada.

“People need to take time out to honour the people in the forces,” Smith said.

Faculty, students, and staff were invited to lay wreaths at the memorial and join in a moment of silence.
