I’m on exchange at the Hogeschool Utrecht, in the Netherlands.
I took communication classes in my first semester and will be taking a European culture and journalism program next semester.
I live in a student apartment with nine other international students, coming from places like China, Finland, and France.
I chose to go on exchange mainly for the travel opportunities. I thought going to school in another country would also be a great way to meet new people and experience the European way of life (and food).
So far, I’ve been to Berlin, Madrid, the United Kingdom, Brussels, and Budapest on weekend trips.
In the upcoming semester, I’ll be going to Dublin for St. Patty’s Day, visiting my Austrian friends in Vienna, and taking the ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki.
I’m looking forward to learning the European style of reporting and learning about the European Union in my new classes.
