In a move to recognize Carleton students serving in the military and with veteran relatives, the Carleton University Students’ Association (CUSA) passed a motion Oct. 27 to support Remembrance Day ceremonies on campus.

The motion, moved by vice-president (student issues) Nick Bergamini, also urged CUSA executives and council members to attend the ceremonies.

All CUSA businesses, service centres and its front office will now observe a moment of silence at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11.

CUSA will also be sending a letter to Carleton to recommend that the university follow similar measures.
