History professor David Noble is once again entangled in controversy with his employer, York University.

Noble said he believes York has unfairly penalized him for his past indiscretions by assigning him classes on Friday afternoon, an undesirable time slot. He has taken the issue before a human rights tribunal in Toronto.

Noble, who could not be reached for comment, has a past history of causing trouble for York, including questioning the hiring of a faculty head, distributing a pamphlet criticizing an apparent “Pro-Israel Lobby” at York, and filing union grievances.

York media relations said they would not be commenting on anything at this time. Closing arguments for the case are scheduled for Nov. 3.
