My name is Abrar Rahman and I am a third year economics student here at our very own Carleton University. I dislike spiders, mosquitoes, and people who use the word ‘moist’ and/or think the dress is white and gold. All of those people and things can go back to the abyss from whence they came.

I particularly enjoy food, sleep, trash pandas, corgis, and baby versions of almost anything except spiders because nope. I spend most of my time on Imgur, Reddit, and Netflix. I aspire to become half the man Ron Swanson is.

Now that you’ve learned a little more about me, I will gladly answer your question of why you should vote for me. Well, I decided to fight for the top three things that my fellow students complained about: more food options around campus (who doesn’t love more choices for food?), complete accountability of CUSA executives, and increased support for clubs and societies (Even if you’re not a part of a club or society, one of your friends are, so by supporting me, you’re supporting them. HAH. Lawyered Kinda )

Now, I think I can guess that your next question is “What has THIS guy done that makes him a good candidate? Well, allow me to enlighten you. First off, I am the vice‐president (operations) of Carleton University’s Free the Children, I kick-started my own mental health campaign, and was an executive member on the Carleton University’s Clubs and Societies Funding Committee.

Instead of giving you my whole story on here, I will say this: if you see me anywhere on campus, stop me, say hello and ask me any questions that you may have about either myself, my credentials, or my campaign. I love meeting new people and I’m always willing to help! And, as always, stay classy Carleton.
