Even sans the Ravens jersey, varsity men from the Carleton basketball team continue to find success on the court.

Aaron Doornekamp, four-time Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) champion and first-team All Canadian, is re-donning the colours of the senior men’s national team for a fourth time — first during the June 15-22 training camp at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and then for exhibition games in Spain.

The newly-graduated forward and former CIS MVP joins Ryan Bell, another Carleton alum, and 17 other players from across the country.

Both Doornekamp and Bell played in the 2007 Pan-American Games and the 2008 Olympic qualifying tournament as part of this internationally-competing team.

But this is a new season — and Doornekamp’s first one fresh out of university.
