O-Train troubles on Aug. 25 decommissioned the second of three O-Trains with service reduced to every half hour, all due to an electrical malfunction in one of the trains, according to OC Transpo.
Service remained this way until 1 p.m., with the 107 bus running to compensate commuters affected by the delay.
This incident happened only two weeks after a train derailment that happened on campus Aug. 11.
Though there were passengers on the train at the time of the derailment, there was only one reported injury, according to Tory Charter, OC Transpo’s manager of operations.
The derailment was found to be the result of a “switch left slightly open” where the track splits.
According to CTV, the investigation is ongoing and two operators have been put on investigatory leave.
