Dustin Hutton-Alcorn is a third-year political science and human rights student. He is the president of the Carleton University White Rose Society, third-year human rights rep for the Carleton Academic Student Government and blogs for the Carleton department of admissions.

If you were to die and come back as a person, animal or object, what do
you think you would be?

I would most likely come back as a coffee mug so I could enjoy my favourite coffees, while bringing a smile to someone’s face.

What do you value most in your friends?
Loyalty. Someone who will stick by me through thick and thin.

What is it you most dislike?
The idea of failure. A focus on the positive will take one much
further in life than dwelling on the negative.

What is the quality you most admire in a woman?
The sense of comfort that comes with their presence.
 
What is the quality you most admire in a man?
The ability to stand up for what they believe in.

Where would you like to live?
 A beautiful heritage home back in the lower mainland of British Columbia (where I am from).

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Being able to leave home and fly across the country to attend university.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My fair skin tone. I would love to be able to tan over the summer holidays!

What do you most dislike about your appearance?
Nothing. Everyone is beautiful in his or her own way. We should accept and
embrace difference, rather than be disappointed in it.

What is the trait you most dislike in others?
People who are just plain messy. Especially in public. Would it kill you to
clean up after yourself?!

What is the trait you most dislike in yourself?
I have this inability to just say “no” when I am asked to do something for
someone.

What is your most obvious characteristic?
My outgoingness. That, and I have been told I am quite funny.

When and where were you happiest?
When I was travelling in Prague with my mom back in the spring of 2007.

What is your most treasured possession?
My family.

Who are your real-life heroes?
I have an entire family of heroes. Also, Terry Fox.

Who is your favourite fictional hero?
The Power Rangers.

What is your greatest fear?
Spiders and any form of natural disaster.

What is your motto?
Eat. Pray. Get over yourself.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
FAIL! True! Legit! Anything to do with Starbucks.

On what occasions do you lie?
There is never an occasion in which lying is acceptable.

What is your current state of mind?
 I’m in an Empire State of Mind. Oh snap!

Which historical figure do you most identify with?
Lucille Ball. She had a passion for making people laugh.

What is your greatest extravagance?
My MacBook.

Hillary Clinton.
