Ottawa police are investigating after two employees were allegedly assaulted Oct. 17 in the Unicentre food court by a man with a metal spatula.
Carleton students and food court employees Usama Tariq and Daniall Kemall said a man was let into the food court after closing and tried to start a fight.
"He lifted the end of the spatula and held it against my throat," said Tariq, a second-year bachelors of commerce student.
Allan Burns, director of the department of university safety, confirmed that the food court supervisor let the alleged attacker in.
"No one is supposed to be allowed in after we close," said Kemall, a second-year electrical engineering student.
