Six Ravens taken in 2017 CFL Draft

Six Carleton Ravens football players were taken in the 2017 Canadian Football League (CFL) Draft, which was held at the beginning of May in Toronto. It is the first time since 1999 that a Raven has been selected in the draft to join the professional ranks, and the first opportunity for the program’s best to have their shot since its rebirth in 2013. Nate Behar, the all-Canadian wide receiver, was the first Raven off the board. The Canadian Football League (CFL) Combine is the signature event leading up to the CFL Draft for the nation’s best prospects to show what they can bring to any of the league’s nine teams. Five Carleton Ravens football players were invited to compete at this year’s CFL Combine held from March 23-25 in Regina, Sask., while the 2017 CFL Draft will be held on May 7. The competing Ravens were wide receivers Nate Behar and Malcolm Carter, offensive lineman Kwabena Asare, and defensive backs Nathaniel Hamlin and Tunde Adeleke. Mills represents Ravens at East-West Bowl

For Jesse Mills, the road to the 2014 Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) football regular season will be filled with milestones. The first of these accolades is the 12th annual East-West Bowl on May 10 hosted by the Western Mustangs at TD Waterhouse Stadium in London, Ont. The game featured some of the best university-level football players in the country.
