Women’s hockey adds 10 recruits for upcoming season

The Ravens women’s hockey team has added 10 new players for this upcoming season. The team will be hoping to snap their four-year-long playoff drought and to improve on its disappointing 4-14-2 record from the 2016 season. On the offensive side the Ravens have added five new players to the team. Carleton finished last season in last place in goals per game in the Réseau du Sport Étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) and 26th in the U Sports rankings with 1.95 goals per game. The five new acquisitions up front are meant to address the weakness that was their scoring. Women’s hockey adds first recruit for next season

The Carleton Ravens women’s hockey team has announced this first recruit for the 2017/18 season. Cassey Corriveau, a 19-year-old defenceman that plays for the Patriotes du Collège d’enseignement général et professionnel (CÉGEP) de St-Laurent, will join the Ravens line-up in the fall. “She is going to bring depth to our hockey team,” said Ravens head coach Pierre Alain. “She is making a very good first pass as a [defenceman] so she will help our team on breakouts for sure. “Also she has a rocket shot, she has a very heavy, and on-net shot,” he said.
