Students, faculty, staff and their families are invited to stop by the Ice House on Sat., Dec. 12 for Carleton’s holiday skate. Beginners can receive a lesson from 2:30-4 p.m. in Rink B, while seasoned veterans can enjoy open skate from 2-4 p.m. in Rink A.
Carleton’s University Figure Skating Competitive Club will present a skate show after the festivities.
“As an exchange student, I feel this will be a great opportunity to have a genuinely Canadian holiday experience,” said Rachael Coates, a third-year film studies major from England, who plans on attending.
Although the event is free of charge, donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items in support of the Carleton University Food Centre are appreciated.
