Men’s basketball team pushes past Laurentian Voyageurs to enter Ontario Final Four
The Carleton Ravens men’s basketball team will advance to the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Final Four championship after defeating the Laurentian Voyageurs in an 87-66 struggle Feb. 25 at the Ravens' Nest.
After being tied at 18 points in the first quarter, the Ravens finished the first half with an eight-point lead. They couldn’t extend their lead beyond that in the third.
The Voyageurs couldn't contain the Ravens' offence in the fourth and final frame, though, when the home team increased their lead to 21 points.
Women’s basketball team fight their way into OUA Final Four
The Carleton Ravens women’s basketball team punched their ticket to the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Final Four with a resounding 84-62 victory over the University of Toronto Varsity Blues Feb. 25 at the Ravens’ Nest.

The Carleton Ravens women’s hockey team’s season came to an abrupt end Feb. 24, after losing 5-1 to the Université de Montréal Carabins in their Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) playoff series clincher.
After finishing the season third in the RSEQ, the Ravens opened the playoffs against the second-place Carabins, but they fell short in the series opener and couldn't recover in game two.
Ravens women’s hockey players score awards
After coming off a strong season in which they finished third in the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ), two Carleton Ravens women’s hockey players were recognized as all-stars and a third won an award and was nominated for another.
Fourth-year forward Kristen MacDonald received the RSEQ Leadership and Social Implication Award and was the RSEQ nominee for the Canadian Interuniversity Sport Marion Hilliard Award, which is given to the athlete who best combines excellence in both sports and academia with community involvement.
