The Ottawa Asian Fest Night Market touched down in Ottawa’s Chinatown over the July 26-28 weekend, with a wide variety of food on offer. Couldn’t make it out? The Charlatan has you covered. The Asian Night Market was held in Ottawa’s Chinatown district on July 26-28. Somerset was closed between Bronson Ave. and Empress Ave. for the three day festival. The festival, started in 2015, attracts vendors from all over Ontario. There was a mixture of traditional Asian cuisine and street food being served. Some of the more eye-catching dishes included BBQ squid on a stick. One vendor prepares beef pies on a flat hot plate. Even when the sun went down, the humidity was thick in the air. But this didn’t scare off the bustling crowds.
