Scott vs. Ria tour hits Bronson Centre

Scott Helman and Ria Mae kicked off their cross-Canada tour on Oct. 13 with a fantastic performance in Ottawa at the Bronson Centre. In front of a packed crowd, the two Canadian singer-songwriters delivered spectacular sets and delighted the audience made up of people of all ages. The tour is being branded as a “fight” between Helman and Mae, with artwork inspired by a well-known picture of artists Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Scott Helman is a young singer-songwriter based out of Toronto. With two Juno nominations and multiple hit singles under his belt, he will be kicking off the Scott vs. Ria tour with singer-songwriter Ria Mae in Ottawa on Oct. 13. CityFolk Day Five: Bahamas, Rodriguez, Scott Helman

CityFolk festival goers were once again blessed with beautiful weather, completing the rare feat of five straight rainless days. While the final day was not spiked with big name celebrities, the acts consistently delighted, and there seemed to be a harmonious relationship between the audience and performer. In a way, the lack of a famous headliner closing out the concert added to the charm of the day. Those in attendance appeared to be primarily returning guests, and had already been to a few shows.
