The Carleton Ravens men’s hockey team extended their winning streak to six games as they beat the University of Ottawa (U of O) Gee-Gees 4-2 on Nov. 10, and then defeated the Queens Gaels 4-1 the following day. The Ravens offence got off to an early start against the U of O, as Ravens forward Ryan Van Stralen fired the puck into the back of the net past Gee-Gee’s goalie Graham Hunt just two minutes into the game. Only seconds later, Ravens forward Fabian Walsh took a pass from teammate Brett Gustavsen and wired the puck past Hunt to take a 2-0 lead. Men’s soccer takes home OUA silver

The Carleton Ravens men’s soccer team traveled to Toronto to take part in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) playoffs over the weekend of Nov. 3 and 4. The Ravens’ first game was the semi-finals of the OUA Final Four, where they beat the McMaster Marauders 3-0. The following day the Ravens fell to the York Lions in the final by a score of 2-0, good enough for a silver medal. In the semi-final matchup against McMaster, the two team’s strong defensive play stifled any offensive momentum. Battling back and forth, both teams remained scoreless in the first half. Early in the second half, Ravens forward Stefan Karajovanovic passed the ball through the Marauders defence to Ravens midfielder Ricky Comba who […]

This was the only goal in the first half as Carleton kept the offensive pressure up, but weren’t able to capitalize on any of the opportunities they created. Starting off the second half in a similar  manner as the first, Bitar was able to score his second […]
