Women’s soccer hires new head coach

The Carleton Ravens introduced Dominic Oliveri, fomer 2013 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Coach of the Year as the new head coach of the women’s soccer team on Jan. 23. Oliveri previously coached the Ottawa Fury FC women’s team and Algonquin Thunder, achieving success for both clubs from 2005 to 2016. He has a combined eight W-League division titles, two provincial championships, eight Top 3 W-League finishes, and four Coach of the Year Awards. Men’s soccer dynamic duo lead OUA in scoring

Over the summer, the Carleton Ravens men’s soccer team recruited forwards Gabriel Bitar and Stefan Karajovanovic. Since then, the first-year forwards have had an incredible first season. Bitar and Karajovanovic are currently sitting on top in the individual offence leader board in goals scored this season. Bitar leads the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) in goals scored with 16, and he sits in second for points with 18 and shots with 49. Karajovanovic is tied for second in goals scored with 15, and leads the OUA in points with 19. Men’s soccer dominates UOIT and advances to final four

The Carleton Ravens men’s soccer team defeated the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) Ridgebacks 7-0 on Oct. 29 at MNP Park. With the win, the Ravens eliminated UOIT and are now headed into the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Final Four for the first time since 2013. The Ravens came into the game as a heavy favorite, finishing the season in first place in the OUA East, while UOIT finished fourth with Carleton winning both of their regular season matchups. Despite the rainy weather, the Ravens were able to get on the board first. Men’s soccer extend streak to four wins

The Carleton Ravens men’s soccer team recorded a pair of wins this weekend on the road against the Nipissing Lakers and the Laurentian Voyageurs. The Ravens played their first game of the weekend in North Bay against the Lakers, winning 4-0. Ravens forward Stefan Karajovanovic opened the scoring 14 minutes into the first half when he picked up a pass from fellow forward Emad Houache and beat Lakers goaltender, Nicholas Cirullo. Ten minutes later, Karajovanovic set up Ravens forward Gabriel Bitar who shot the ball into the back of the net. Ravens host two training camps in preparation for season

To prepare for the upcoming season of university soccer, the Carleton Ravens men’s soccer team is holding two summer training camps. The first training camp, an open camp where anyone could attend and participate, was held at the end of April. This is known as an ‘ID camp.’ The best players from the April camp will be studied and identified before being chosen to attend the second camp at the end of May.
